Miyamoto had always wanted to create his own Pac-Man game before this release, as he considers Pac-Man his favorite game franchise of all time. The game was developed by Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Donkey Kong and Super Mario Bros.In Europe, the game was only bundled with other software, seemingly none of which was Pac-Man or Link Cable-related. In Japan, the game was only released through the Club Nintendo service for an unknown amount of points. The Nintendo DS version is generally considered the best of the three, due to its much easier setup process and better presentation/music.ĭespite being a major selling point for the GBA Link Cable in the US, the game received very limited releases in other countries. The GameCube version was the first to be released. Multiplayer Demo, both of which are on the Nintendo eShop. Unfortunately this version is possibly the hardest to set up for traditional multiplayer, as two to four Nintendo Switches are required (a very expensive system), alongside one copy of the game and the Pac-Man Vs. This version is nearly identical to the GameCube release, except for one major difference - the game now features a single-player mode, where three ghosts chase down a CPU-controlled Pac-Man. was also included in Namco Museum for Nintendo Switch. The game's music is now remixes of classic Pac-Man and Namco arcade medleys, and the mazes from Pac-Man's POV have a rainbow tint to them. The stages in the DS version are the same as the GameCube release, but their visual appearance is greatly altered (including adding a cameo from Miru to one of the maze's walls). The setup process is far easier (and possibly cheaper) to set up than the GameCube version.
